Bored Life of Movies

Bored enough to not only watch a movie, but to take a photo of the movie.

  • Tess (1979) Roman Polanski - One of my fav books was made into a semi-decent movie, so I watched it.  March 4th, 2014.

  • La maison assassinée (1988) Georges Lautner - Creepy good times in my search for the ultimate 80’s movie.  Clearing out some screen-shots from my desktop.  December 2013.

  • Amour (2012) Michael Haneke - Another Palm d’or winner.  Will I ever finish that other blog I have about watching every Palm d’or movie?  I’ve watched most of them, but have written about few. January 2014.

  • The Road (2009) John Hillcoat - This didn’t satisfy my desire for a post-apocalyptic movie where nothing happens, nor my desire for an Orwellian film that’s really just about relationships, but happens to be set in a future where people have little civil liberties.  January 2014.

  • Floored (2009) James Allen Smith - Truly boring, truly bored. January 8th, 2014.

  • I had a finance/stock market mini film fest:

Barbarians at the Gate (1993) Glenn Jordan - I love true stories that involve insane lightning quick wit.

Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps (2010) Oliver Stone - This had so many good parts for command+tab-ing to other applications, such as my email programme and my internet browser.

    Margin Call (2011) J.C. Chandor - I forget.

Boiler Room (2000) Ben Younger - Cool 90’s rave moments in this and cool soundtrack.

Rogue Trader (1999) James Dearden - Another great true story, put to film.

Inside Job (2010) Charles Ferguson - Good people make bad documentaries about important things.
